Highland Plantation, located among the mountains of western Maine is the site of a planned industrial scale wind turbine complex. If approved by the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission, the project would cover over 8 miles of previously undeveloped ridgelines, including Stewart, Witham, and Bald Mountains, as well as Burnt and Briggs Hills.
