We can always use help in our effort to preserve the unique character of rural Maine, that quality of place that keeps so many of us here. If you would like to volunteer to help out, write and let us know.
We are going to be collecting signatures for petitions in the coming weeks in order to send a message to the Land Use Regulation Commission that our voices do count. We will need volunteer to circulate these petitions in their communities and would love to hear from you.

A $25.00 membership contribution is requested, though any contribution is welcome, if you are able. Certainly, if you are able to contribute more, this would help us greatly as we move forward with our case. We are a grassroots organization of working people like you, who find ourselves standing up against well-financed companies, trying to make ourselves heard. We are an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. We have significant ongoing costs for printing and postage to get the information out to our communities that our legislators and the wind industry did not. We are alerting our neighbors, doing the work our elected officials should have done months or years ago. As we move on in this process, we will be incurring legal and expert witness expenses. If you can help, we would like to thank you in advance. Please make checks payable to Friends Of The Highland Mountains and mail to:
